This is an emotional story and so beautiful, I am loving this series and Sasha Cottman never disappoints me with her sensual regency tales set in the most wonderful settings this time a good part of it is set in Rome, now we got a bit of this story in the last book and now we see if Lady Augusta Kembal and Viscount Flynn Cadnam find the love they deserve.
Flynn is known around town as the Vagabond Viscount, he is penniless and has a very nasty and vindictive father who is determined to marry Flynn of the woman of his choice, but Flynn has other ideas you see he is madly in love with Lady Augusta they have been friends for a long time and their friendship has become much more but when he stands up to his father it does not go well at all.
Augusta wants so badly to marry the man she loves and on that fateful day in Hyde Park when he promises that he will arrive at her home soon and speak to her father, Augusta is over the moon but Flynn never arrives and seems to disappear from London all together and with talk of his demise, she is heartbroken.
Augusta travels to Rome with her mother to visit her friend Serafina, her heart broken maybe one day she will again feel like the strong and stubborn Augusta. But when she is wandering the streets of Rome and she spots someone who resembles Flynn her heart is all aflutter, could it be the man she loves and will never forget?
I loved this story so much, so many tears from me happy and sad at times as Augusta and Flynn journey through so many tough times but some very beautiful steamy sensual times in Rome as they re-discover the love that started in London. This one is again beautifully written, it shows the strength they both have to continue when you feel life your heart is broken. Although part of a series it can be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend this one to any lover of historical romance, I look forward to the next story in this series, will it be Victoria?
My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.
