Scandal, Secrets and the Marquess
The Lost Lords #2
Karla Kratovil
Are you looking for a historical romance that has a little bit of everything in it, a beautiful steamy romance, mystery, danger fabulous characters then this is the one to read, I loved it from start to finish, Malcom and Adeline are just the best couple, I read this one in one sitting, it is a fabulous book.
We met Lady Adeline Amberley in the first book in this series and I loved getting to know this very analytical and clever young woman in her own story, she is one determined lady especially when she sets out to save her family from scandal and herself from a marriage that she does not want, her father is not a very nice man and will do anything at all to please himself. When Adeline meets Lord Kingsbury who is an old friend of her brothers how will her life change?
Naval Commander Malcolm Iveson left England when he was fifteen after a terrible tragedy in his family now he has returned at the request of his Admiral to take on a new assignment and that is to find some Greek artifacts that have been stolen and for this he will need to take up his title and mix with the ton, his investigations lead him to an old school friend and his sister Lady Adeline, falling for Adeline who is the daughter of his main suspect was not what was supposed to happen, but you can’t stop fate.
I loved this one as Malcolm and Adeline while running from danger give into the passions that pull at both of them when bad weather sees them cloistered in an Inn, but will they uncover the truth and come out the other end safe, there are so many hurdles to cross first.
This is one that I do highly recommend, it sizzles with passion and the mystery and suspense will keep you turning the pages, I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
My thanks to Tule Publishing for my digital copy to read and review.
