 My Earl, the Spy

The Trengrouse Ball #5

Elizabeth Leydin

Book five in this lovely series, I am loving them so much and Melissa is a little different than most young ladies of the ton, she is not comfortable in big crowds dancing etc. but she is very good friends with Charles Goddard Earl of Westholm, they have a special friendship where Melissa helps him decode secret French dispatches, could they ever become a couple and marry?

Melissa is being pressured from her parents to get married and she is not keen on having children or being married in the true sense that is not what she wants but if there was anyone she could marry it would be Charles because he is her best friend and they could continue as they do now, but when she proposes at the ball, he refuses.

Charles really does love her but he knows that he can never give her what a true husband should be able to and when he is required to decode another message and rush of to London on one of his secret missions, Melissa is one his mind.

Melissa soon realises that Charles is walking into a trap and pulls out all stops to get to London and save him with the help of two of her brothers, will she get there and will Charles realise that he has everything that Melissa wants in a husband just the way he is?

I am loving this series, short and sweet stories that pull me in and I do highly recommend them to any reader who is looking for a trip back to the regency with fabulous characters that are very easy to love.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.
