A new book from Anna Campbell and the first in a series woohoo and another fabulous read sexy, sensual and steamy as MS Campbell takes us back to Regency England and we meet the handsome rake Grayson Maddox, Earl of Halston and the beautiful and strong Stella Faulkner, I do hope that you come a long for the journey.
Stella is the unpaid companion to her cousin Imogen, she had fled Italy and she must always do the right thing otherwise she will be out on the street with nothing, she loves Imogen but not the way she is treated by her uncle, when she meets Lord Halston in a gazebo at a ball her thoughts of a life of her own come to her mind. Could she chance it?
Gray is a noted rake he knows how to seduce but he is getting bored with the woman that are eager to fall at his feet, when he meets Stella and she lights a light in him and she is not so agreeable he fights for her and an agreement is made a short one but when it is time to end it Gray is not giving up so easily.
Another beautifully written story from Anna Campbell she really knows how to bring her characters to life and put the sizzle in a story there is lots of witty banter as Stella makes her wishes known, she is strong after all she has been through and deserves the best and Gray what can I say he does have a heart even if he doesn’t believe in love but spending five days at his house party makes him see when it finishes and he is alone that loving Stella shows him what love is. A wonderful HEA, a fabulous story and one that I highly recommend.
