I just love a good regency story with heroes to die for and strong and independent heroines who make me smile and Sasha Cottman does this so well, I fell into this one with a trip from Spain to London and back again and loved every minute of it, even though it is part of a series it can be read as a stand- alone, it is one to pick up and fall into.

King Ferdinand has just been returned to Spain and there is trouble brewing, Maria de Elizondo Garza is the daughter of a wealthy Duke and when she is kidnapped and held for a King’s ransom her brother Diego goes to the one person he knows can find his sister and that is Duke of Tolosa, Lisandro de Aguirre their sworn enemy because of a feud between the families, that started many, many years ago.

Lisandro is more than happy to go and find Maria and sets sail to England, he enlists the help from a group of friends he knew form the war and together they search and plan to rescue Maria, she is not convinced that Lisandro is not behind the kidnapping at first and before long a battle of wills starts to keep their heart and feelings intact.

I loved this one from page one filled with lots of action and emotional ups and downs as Lisandro and Maria lose their hearts to each other with danger following close on their tails, Lisandro is a true hero, honourable, protective and very loving and Maria oh she is so lovable she speaks her mind and pushes for what she wants. When they arrive home they must discover the true kidnaper and convince her father that they should marry even if the families have been sworn enemies for over one hundred years. Love always finds a way.

Thank you to the author for my copy to read it is another keeper and I do look forward to more about the RR heroes.
