I am loving this series, Sasha Cottman knows how to write a story that will pull a reader in, get them emotionally involved and have them turning the pages, this time we see Augustus Jones fourth of the Rogues of the Road meet his match the feisty and beautiful French woman Evangeline La Roche, I do hope you come along for the trip, it is worth it.
On Gus’s last trip across the English Channel smuggling brandy he was shot but he needs to get back and check up on the La Roche family especially the beautiful Evangeline but what he finds when he arrives in his yacht Night Wind is explosions and a burning chateau, he promises Evangeline’s uncle that he will find his niece and protect her from the gang who have abducted her.
Evangeline is after revenge after what has happened at the chateau she is going to destroy the Lamballe gang if it is the last thing she does, things don’t go to her plans and she finds herself on the run. When she arrives at a friend’s place the last person she expects to meet there is Gus but she is thrilled to see him and together they make their way to coast but under Evangeline’s plans.
Gus and Evangeline have both held strong attractions to each other over the years they were smuggling and with them together and danger looming they get even closer and plans for the future are made, so when crunch comes to crunch will they find their well- deserved HEA and if they do will they live in England or France?
This is a fantastic story, action packed and very sensual, I loved both Gus and Evangeline they are strong and caring and their love is so deep, their journey is fraught with danger and their banter is witty, I do highly recommend this one.
