The Lairds Most Likely #8
Anna Campbell

I never miss an Anna Campbell story, they are fabulous reads with heroes to die for and heroines who are strong and loving and when Anna writes a kilt wearing Scottish Highlander well then I am jumping in, I am loving this series and my trips to the Highlands and this time we get to see Quentin MacNab find his match.
Kit Liang is so good with the horses in the stable on Glen Lyon, the young stable boy is very shy though and keeps to himself maybe that is because she is hiding a secret, you see Christobel Urquhart is the Countess of Appin and is running from a cruel step brother and needs to hide out at least till her birthday which is Christmas Day and that is fast approaching.
Quentin is the nephew of the laird of Glen Lyon, he has been watching the new stable boy for a bit now and is not overly convinced that he is a he, when Kit and Quentin get caught in a snow storm and spend the night in a cabin, the truth comes out and when a marriage is the best way to avoid scandal Quentin is more than happy to marry but is Kit?
Kit has not had a very good time of it on her estate but shows the courage and strength to run, she has loved her time at Glen Lyon and has been watching Quentin from afar unbeknownst to her that Quentin just might be onto her secret for he has had his eyes on her. Kit is not keen on ruining Quentin’s life but when danger arrives on Christmas Eve and Quentin steps up it is not long before both realise the love they have for each other. A beautifully written story filled with emotion, lots of fun and such happiness it is a heartwarming Christmas story that made me smile with so much joy, oh I do love a good HEA and this one was so good. I do highly recommend this one, I loved it.
