I love historical stories and I love Christmas stories so this is a book I was really looking forward to reading and I was not disappointed what a fabulous read it was, eight wonderful short stories where heroes and heroines are matched by the Dowager Countess Lady Holly this is her 50th Christmas Ball and is known as the last chance ball there have been many love matches made over the years and this one should be no exception with all of the planning that has gone into the ball.

Joanna Bourne, Patricia Rice, Nicola Cornick, Cara Elliott, Anne Gracie, Mary-Jo Putney and Susan King who are the wonderful Word Wenches will take you on a magical journey back to the regency period to Holbourne Abbey with their Lucky Tower, it is Christmas time and it is snowing and cold but things are warming up inside as heroes and heroines are drawn together with encouragement and determination to such beautiful HEA's.

I loved all of these eight stories they are all different but have moving and heart-warming stories that will bring tears to your eyes and make you smile truly this is a book that I highly recommend give yourself all day to sit curled up with it because you are not going to want to put it down. Thank you Ladies for hours of reading pleasure this is one for the keeper shelf.
