This was my first Courtney Milan book and I have no idea why it took so long to get to it and needless to say I have a lot to catch up on what a great story.

Serena Barton has lost her job as governess because of miss-conduct all because of The Duke of Clermont and now Serena is determined to never be walked all over again and not to be quiet so she starts a campaign to be acknowledged and what a journey it starts.

Hugo Marshall is a formidable man he is known as The Wolf of Clermont because he is the Duke's right hand man and makes things happen and is working his way up to being something he wants to be the richest coal miners son there is, so when a young woman arrives outside the Duke's residence and he is told by the Duke to deal with her he does but that did not mean falling in love she kinda melts him in such a good way.

This is such a great story I read it in one sitting didn't want to put it down and will be getting onto more in this series asap, I can highly recommend this one the banter between Hugo and Serena is fabulous it is sure to make you smile don't miss this one.

5/5 stars for a great story
